In our every day life we all spend time in group environments, either through our families, schools, organized activities, or work. These social arenas are where we grow and develop as human beings. Group psychotherapy is no different. It provides a space where you come together with others to share problems or concerns, to better understand your own circumstances and learn from and with each other. These groups focus on the common experiences of women. They offer a place to explore our common struggles and joys, and examine interpersonal styles and relationships. Through group work such as this, people make significant changes and feel better about the quality of their lives.

Currently I offer three types of groups. I offer a 12 week Loneliness Solutions group, a 5 session ADHD Parent Support Group, and a Women's Process Groups that meet for 12 weeks and can renew or continue with another 12 weeks.

Loneliness is a growing problem in our society.  This group will explore how to discover the way we each connect, and identify what is satisfying and authentic in social engagement. We will practice meaningful exchange, and look at how our own self image gets in the way of expressing ourselves.

The group meets in Albany on Fridays from 9:00am - 10:30am.

Fee: $40 per session.

Common themes in this group are: being daughter, mother, wife, friend, caregiver and needing care ourselves; career changes, returning to work, work in the home; self care, and the question am I depressed or just exhausted, frustrated and stressed?

The group meets in Albany on Tuesdays from 11:30 - 1:00pm.

Fee: $40 per session.

Each group will meet for 5 times and will provide both information and support about raising children with ADD/ADHD qualities. Please contact me for more information, or if you wish to schedule a consultation.

This group meets in Albany on  Fridays from 11:30am - 1pm.

Fee: $200 for the series
