MINDFULNESS PARENTING SUPPORT GROUPS

Parenthood is a unique and rich experience that shapes many of our decisions in daily life. Bringing mindful awareness into our acts of parenting allows us to make the most of the parent-child relationship and experience.

Through this group we will :

Define mindfulness and how it is practiced in everyday life
Discuss how to apply mindfulness to the act of parenting
Reflect on the writing of Jon Kabat-Zinn in his book Everyday Blessings
Share our delights and struggles as parents

These groups are open to anyone actively raising or caring for a child.  No prior experience in mindfulness practice or a specific religious orientation are necessary.  No religious material will be presented during the sessions.

Groups meet every other week in Lafayette for 9 sessions. Participation in all sessions is requested..  Cost for participation is $324 for the series.  Group size will range from 5 to 7 people.  Meeting days and times will depend on the availability of the members at the start of each course series.
